waiting is driving me mad!!

Ok im nw going bonkers and worrying myself about my cat having her kittens.

We know that she was got atby Mr Tom Cat the week starting 30th march. Because i have had 30th in my head i have said she is day 66 today but in reality could be less.

She isnt as rounded today and her nipples u can see on her belly through the fur.She is a very small cat and although has had a bump not a massive one. Could it just be the bump had dropped?

When i try to touch her tum or look at her back end she gets aggressive.
Last night she was very insistent on getting in our wardrobe. I have boxes set up around the house but didnt want her to have them there but have no tidyed it up and put a box in there too.

i guess if she was to go the full 70 days then she culd be due as late as the 12 jun ( if it was apr 3 she mated) which worries me as i go on holiday 13th!!!!!

We know it was definatley that week - im worrying so much about her and probably dont need to.

Still cant feel kits move at least if i could feel that i would be happier.

I am thinking about taking her to vet for check up but bf thinks its a wast of time - dont know what to do

any advice???

how likely is it they go that far?

Re: waiting is driving me mad!!

Hi.

I couldn't feel my cats kittens move at all. Now and then I thought I seen a small mpvement on her tumy. She went to day 69. It's very hard but you have to attempt to be patient!

I hope she starts soon for you. and for her.

Re: waiting is driving me mad!!

They "drop" a few days before the birth so it shouldn't be too much longer now. It is rare to go 70 days anyway. I doubt if you will have to wait too much longer.

Re: waiting is driving me mad!!

thank you for the reassurance.
Today i managed to just spend a bit of time with her laid in her kitten box. Kids were distracted so was nice and quiet. She actually rolled over and i did notice her nipples looked softer if that makes sense.
She appeard happy to let me leave my hand on her tummy and after a while i was able to feel kits move. I am sooooooooooooo pleased has put my mind at rest no end.
I have done this several times this afternoon and she really seems to be happy to let me feel them.
She hasnt moved from her box or eaten very much so lets hope!!!!
I am so glad i found this website.
I would even behappy to wait 70 days as her andthe kits are ok.

Hi Lou,
I am sooo glad you have felt the kittens move and now you are more at ease, my little one is at the stage if you go near her tummy she will take ya face off lol !!!! and she is not that way inclined at all, I am just hoping its the HORMONES !!!
Keep us all updated on her progress, when you have time, doesn't sound like you will have long to wait.
Take care.

Re: waiting is driving me mad!!

Hi thanks
Pumpkin was doing that the last 2 days.

That is totally out of character for her the kids would normally be carrying her around in all sorts of positions lol

Re: waiting is driving me mad!!

My cat went to 69 days and I was worried sick, then she has a creamy discharge and it was all over in a few hours, and shes been a great mum! She had them with ease although she only had two.

Re: waiting is driving me mad!!

hi all
update so far today.
Last night she was in my wardrobe scratching around in her box - nothing more!
She has not really eatedn since last night mouthful or so and today has taken it upon herself to play in the bathroom. Had some washing on the airer some of it had been pulled off.
Just been to check where she was and she is still in bathroom but has pulled towels down andis laid in them.
She followed me down went to her food and turned her nose up at it.

As i have previously saidshe could go to the 12th if she mated end of week of 30th mar and decideds to make us wait 70 days!!!

The waiting game continues and i have kitten enveyfor all whos little kits have arrived
