bit of advice needed....

.... tia is now 8 weeks pregnant.... so not long till the kittens pop out.
however i never see the kittens moving in her belly.
this is the first litter, and my god she is massive as you can see from my previous post about her, but i never see them move.

Also i thought id start temping her today, and i did it 3 times, and they all came up with 37.3/37.4

you dont think theyre coming yet do you???

Re: bit of advice needed....

babies don't come till nine weeks.

my girls first litter i did not see them move but she had four inside so don't worry, it could be that she looks big but not to many in there.

if worried i would take to vets for a scan to see if the kittens are ok and how many are in.

Re: bit of advice needed....

thanks

shes a british shorthair, but shes massive, and her tummy is so hard, so you might be right.

im so excited about the kittens, although she doesnt seem as impressed, i think shes sick of being pregnant now, shes waddling around, and follows me everywhere bless her!!

just another week and we might see some action.

She keeps scaring me though as she keeps randomly squatting in places, but theres no sign of kittens or anything dischrgy, so im hoping that shes just being a tease and that in a week we'll have some healthy full term babys!!!!

Re: bit of advice needed....

Hi!

In the last week I could see kittens moving in my cats tummy, but only if I sat watching for a long time and only now and then. I could definately feel them too when I put my hand on her belly, but again I had to be patient because they wouldn't ever do it when I wanted them to, Doh!

My cat is long haired and I can see the kittens move! It's like watching a tidal wave ripple across her fur, and occasional her whole belly jumps. This has been happening from about 7 weeks, with 4 dyas to go it is getting harder to see the big movements but the ripples are still there.

Same for me - my girls have long coats, but I can still see the movement very clearly. Some girls hide it better than others. We always joke that one of our girls must have a cast iron womb, as we never see her babies move!
