Hi, I'm new to these forums and I've just got a question that I'd like to ask.

I think that my queen is about ready to pop. Her stomach has rounded, her hair around her nipples have gone and there's milk in them. All day she has been wandering around the house sniffing things, which is unlike her. She also keeps chasing our neutered male cat away from her. I'm a complete novice with cat pregnancies so I'd just like to know if anyone could tell me approx how much longer she has got left?

Firstly keep the neutered male away from her, has your queen got a birthing box in a private place? if she has milk I would say she will have her babies anytime SOON, it sounds to me like she is looking for a nice place to give birth

Keep an eye on her she may try find some where dark to hide, they do get very restless before giving birth, she may even want you to be with her, is it her 1st litter?

Yeah, we have set the conservatory up for her with loads of cushions and blankets and stuff, so I always put her in there when I go out.
Yeah its her first litter, she's only a small cat so I'd like to be there when she has them incase she needs any help.
She keeps wandering into strange places today, like under my bed and the closet under the stairs, she usually just goes wherever I go, thats why I'm starting to think its about time.

I take it you wasnt sure on the mating date? my Ragdolls are almost spot on 65days. i have 13 babies @ the moment and 2 more litters due,
she is obviousley trying to find somewhere to nest good luck with the birthing keep us updated.

No I wasnt quite sure about the date, but we kinda guessed it would be around the end of march/ start of April. I'll be sure to keep you updated... must put the camera on charge

Hey, just thought I'd let you all know that Squeak finally had he babies friday night. I'm not sure what time she had them as I went out for a friends birthday meal at 7 and when I came back at midnight she was sat there with her kittens. I thought she was acting strange on friday, since she was following me absolutely everywhere, even the bath.

So, finally she's had 4 gorgeous kittens. I've got some photies of them, so when I find my camera lead I'll upload them for you all to drool over
