how is everything going so wrong

hi all thought i would update you all.

my seal who has the discharge is fine with in herself and today have not yet seen the discharge, but to be honest i not going around looking at her lady bits all the time. she is nearly seven weeks pregnant now.

my blue who had kittens three weeks ago, is now not well she has mastitis and is in pain, been to the vets again which i now feel like it is my new home i have been there so much lately.
so right now i am having to hand rear the babies as mum has no milk, i am not sure why or what happened but i do feel like someone has wished lots of bad luck on me.

i have got kittens eating royal canin kitten paste mixed with lots of milk they love it so that is good, now just gonna have to litter train as they seem to be pooing all over the place.

my partner is saying he wants me to stop breeding as this has had me in tears at times but i do love this and don't want to stop.

anyway enough from me just hope my luck changes soon. to good luck.

Hiya,

I think most of us go through these times, I know we did last year and we considered giving up but the good times make it all worth it.

I hope things improve quickly for you.

xx

Re: how is everything going so wrong

If things go wrong they always do it all together, its a test I think to see if we are strong enough to cope.

This may sound weird, but to help with the mastitis try a cabbage leave, you will have to find some way of bandaging on, but its supposed to work. They recommend it for human Mums as well, a leave in the bra works wonders. Is it just one or more teats that are affected. If its just one, are you sure all her milk has disappeared completely ? If not if you can get the kittens to keep sucking that may help, but not from the infected teat(s).

Your other girl sounds fine in herself. If you haven't noticed a discharge it may well be reducing. No news is good news on that front.

All your babies sound like they are doing well too, so its not all bad luck, you have those to keep you going.
