Questions I should be asking about show potential kittens

I'm visiting a breeder at the end of the month regarding buying a show potential kitten. The litter is due the first week or so of June & I have seen progeny of a similar mating (very happy with said progeny). I have never bought a kitten with showing being a major concern so I don't know what sort of things I should be asking/looking out for.

I know to ask all the regular things when buying any new pet or kitten.

It's a Birman if that helps....

Re: Questions I should be asking about show potential kittens

Hopefully Birman breeders will answer in more detail, but I do know that besides the overall type, the white foot markings are critically important - the standard of points is very strict on this. I should think that as Birmans are a very popular breed and there are quite a lot at shows, the competition will be pretty stiff!
