6 kittens. We lost one so that's 5.

I slept on couch with her box beside me and was woken to sounds of squealing. I tried to clear his mouth & nose, mouth to mouth for 1 hour but he/she has gone.

5 kittens and Misty is doing well.

I am still very sad about the one I lost. The only thing stopping me beating myself up is I know I tried my best. He was very cold to touch, even when I first picked him up

My husband came downstairs to find me giving it mouth to mouth, then swinging him/her between my legs and then rubbing him, I knew he was gone so I asked him to leave for a while.

Anyway, kittens seem quite happy and mum just purrs away.

I have also found a great use for my intelex microwaveable teddy. I lay the kittens on it whilst Misty cleaned up a bit and they thought it was her.

Oh I am so pleased it's over. Still sad for the little one though. If only I hadn't fallen asleep .

Probably there is nothing you could have done. It is not at all uncommon to lose one during birth.

Just come on- well done Mellowma and Misty. Sorry about the one yyou lost - it sounds like you did everything you could, not your fault sometimes these things happen.

COngratulations on the surviving 5!!!!!! Woohoo. 5 eh? That wil keep her busy!
