Due to give birth - spot of blood

Hi Guys

One of my maidens is due to give birth tomorrow - however she has a tiny bit of blood spotting - is this normal?
I have seen a mucus plug before but not blood spotting? (its not dripping - just a tiny bit on her vagina

Thanks

Re: Due to give birth - spot of blood

I am pleased to announce the safe arrival of 2 furbabies at 7am this morning - Day 67!
Her waters broke last night about 9.30pm and she kept me waiting through the night - im shattered!!!
The first baby was dead, but then she was pushing the first one from 4.30am this morning - so was to be expected really.

She would not give birth without her friend Timone, who laid with her and washed her throughout - including the babies! At first I didint have Timone in the room but Pumba kept getting all distressed trying to get out - so i let her take me to where she wanted to be (dripping everywhere LOL), and then she was happy once Timone was in the same room.
Both girls are now curled up with the babies - bless em!

We were only expecting a small litter after her problems anyway, in fact we were not sure if we would get any "healthy" ones. But both kittens seems perfectly normal. 1 is 15g lighter than the other one and was very weak at birth, but seems ok now - i will e keeping my eye on that one!

Pumba seems very proud of herself. Im very pleased with her.
