statistically speaking it is unlikely but not impossible for them to produce a solid colour because both parents have to carry for solid and both give the solid gene - whereas only ONE gene for tabby is needed for the cat to be tabby. IF both parents (and it has to be both) carried solid then the chances would be that 1/4 (25%) of the offspring would be solids.
