Thumbs down Dirty Kittens

Well my kittens ae now 4 weeks old - they have a litter tray also that they have access to.
I show them how to go in the litter at least once a day but for the past few days there is poop all over their bedding and in places other than the litter tray. Sometimes they are covered in it and mum has not cleaned it - any ideas why she is not sorting them out?
With Mimi i never found a spot of dirtiness anywhere!

Re: Dirty Kittens

Hiya Saff, have you got mum using the same litter box as the kits, if not I would certainly do that. They seem to learn from copying mum and once they smell her stuff in it they follow suit, if you get my gist or failing that put some of her soiled litter in their box

Yes - at least I would be, especially since she isn't eating either.

Re: Dirty Kittens

Think this should prehaps be mum's final litter. Prehaps she is not up to it any more and it's making her a bit poorly. Hope she is ok.
