confused, colour points

Hi, Just seen an ad for seal point persian, but he has a white hair around the nose and whiskers.
I know in ragdolls you can get bi-coloured points, but have never seen or heard of it in persian.
Anyone know more about this?
was going to post the picture, but not sure if its allowed.
Thanks Lisa

Re: confused, colour points

Just because its not a 'showable' option in the breed doesn't mean someone hasn't put 2 cats together that can produce pointed bi-colour offspring. You just wouldn't be able to breed on from them or assign them a breed number etc. Personally I'd think they would be quite justified in calling the kittens 'persian' if both parents are active registered persians, but they'd have to make clear to prospective owners the implications of the colour/pattern.

Would make a spectacular pet though!

Re: confused, colour points

Looks to me like either an 'oops' litter or someone has been happily breeding anything to anything so long as they are Persian-type. I bet it doesn't have any papers...
