Not happy

Today I had a day free so made a few calls and contacted the GCCF regarding sweetie and the scammer.
Yes I now all them scammers as thats what they are.

Sweetie was sold to me as active which yes indeed she is. But I was also informed that she had had a litter before. The gccf have just told me that infact she has not had a registered litter with them.

I am now about to put a complaint through to disiplinary section and contact the trading standards as advised to do. Because the reg form was actually signed my another person not named on the slip. Which as we all know is classed as fraud.

I am not sure if they will be able to track down these so called people but hopefully they do and give them there dues.

Re: Not happy

See now why I mentioned you should contact the GCCF? Far better to know this before you breed her than to find out when you have a litter of kittens running around. I'm really sorry this has happened to you. I hope these bad people get what they deserve!

Re: Not happy

It's a right muddle and I do feel for the buyer but I'm a bit stumped as to what sanctions can be brought to bear on the person who signed the transfer form. If they weren't the registered owner of the cat then they are not subject to any GCCF procedures. Are the GCCF planning on proceeding against the registered owner? There isn't any evidence against them so far. They've signed nothing, sold nothing, presumably never even seen by the buyer.

Doesn't mean she hasn't had a litter, just that there have been no kittens registered with the GCCF.

Re: Not happy

This really is a sore subject right now I have only really just come back down. And about to hit the roof honestly if I could find this person/people I got her off they would sure know about it. I am the rather shy that wont say boo to a ghost but if they rattle me up they see another side that they sure wish they hadn't.

No I doesnt mean that she has not had a litter yes she may well have done but not been reg with the gccf. But with the history I have had with her I would sincerely doubt that she has to be honest.

Now this is driving me up the wall and I give up.

Yes your right the person that I bought her off a guy by the way said the reg owner had passed away his mother so no didnt see her.

I dont know what they want to do but suggested I put in a complaint for disiplinary. I wonder if this person actually still exists on records to current day :eek I understand data protection laws and know they cannot say this too me if they actually do

yes most definatly be neutered.

The paper work must be real as gccf know all about her. Or what they told anyways.

There is now a £15 charge to do this so have a good think about it first.
There is always the possibility that the guy you bought it from was telling the truth as he knew it. I can imagine the situation where a son would know about the existence of paperwork but not the correct procedure. It's made me wonder what should happen if a registered owner dies.

Probably. No reason why not. A cat stays registered to a name unless and until it's transferred. A prefix is forever too.
