Re: Welcome to the world - x3
TB they are absolutely possible :-)
With a cream boy then the white girl will be masking black tortie (or tortie tabby) to get those colour kittens - I think the red tabby could actually be a red self with ghost markings - red selfs are always born with a tabby pattern of sorts. Solid white masks a colour - so the possibilities were always going to be solid whites or dependant on what colour mum masks. Last edited by Soupie; 22-01-2012 at 03:23 PM.. |

Re: Welcome to the world - x3
Pheww thanks for clearing up the colours - have left a message on stud answer phone cos was thinking something must have gone wrong - whoops might have to apologize LOL
Luna is classed as a traditional Exotic and she looks just fine to me - I was advised when choosing that her persian pedigree carries a more "normal" face than the pug type -I don't know I'm not good at genetics - I just thought she looked beautiful She is a natural mum - the babies are sooo greedy - they haven't stopped feeding all day - their bellies look so full LOL -TBH I think they are asleep but still attached Luna is eating for England - I have placed the bowl almost under her chin as she just won't move from her babies Oh - I have been corrected than no 1 is classed as calico?? - I'm not sure what their colours are called officially - to me they just gorgeous type 1,2 and3 LOL ![]() |

Re: Welcome to the world - x3
She's a lovely girl but a not a great example of an Exotic, traditional or no ....... I am pleased you have a healthy litter but if you are serious about breeding Exotics I can recommend people for you to chat to who breed cats which are more to the breed standard and more representative of the breed in general. Attached are two examples of Exotics - one more open faced and one show quality. You will see how every different they are from your girl.
Enjoy the kitties but do seriously think about chatting to some other breeders if you want to continue with Zotties It is so important to make sure you have done the requisite testing as well such as PKD and in the case of whites BAER testing.Show Quality ![]() Open faced |
