Oh MY GODDDDDDDDDDDDDD! They are CRAZY!!! lol

Please help, I'm over run with the little hells angels at the moment, I adore them sooooooooooo much and constantly laughing and playing with them but they are so crazy lol!!!

So as I have never had kitties at this age before, can anyone advise me what this period (they are 7 weeks now) is best for me to use to help them adjust in their new homes, Holly is a little monkey, very very hyperactive, charges about and dive bombs everything, is very good with the litter tray and great at letting me know if she needs to go and is in the lounge and cant get to it, but will be a little naughty and start to wee

Jack is amazing in the litter tray, and i don't have any problems with him at all, he seems so forward and even if i tell him off (pathetic) me saying no in a semi stern voice as he tries to climb up my curtains he just lets go!!!!

Angel wont go in the litter much at all now, she started off well, but now just wees anywhere, and everywhere, i put her in the trays, she jumps out, it can go on for half an hour, she wont give up, i do and then she will jump on my bed and before i know it, you know what

I have Jack and Holly until 1st of Feb and 14th of Feb respectively, how can I best make use of this time and what advise can all those that have bred kittens give me please to ensure that I am doing things right. xx

I sympathise with the weeing on the bed. I ended up having to spray citronella spray ALL over my bed to stop Bugs!!! You can get a litter attract mix that is litter with something that draws cats/kittens to it (available in Petsathome)

unless ive read this wrong and my maths sisnt good, that means there be going to new homes at 9-10weeks of age? that is 3-4weeks to early for a start! so best thing to do is get used to them being around for another 5 weeks, so going to new homes from the 18th feb onwards, are you doing the vacs? that is 9 & 12weeks read the poster in my signiture

They are 7 + weeks now, Jack will be 9 1/2 weeks on agreed date thery are having first jabs on 31st jan, 2nd lot on 22nd Feb Holly will be 11 weeks when she goes and injections all paid for and both owners agreed to take them for 2nd jabs, 9+ weeks seems to be ok with my vets for them to go, I have not a great deal of time as I work full time to give the babies and am asking my neighbours teenagers to constantly to come in and out, so I am sure 9 1/2 weeks is a good compromise?? It is only Jack that is going at 9 1/2 weeks and merely because he will be going somewhere where he will be smothered with attention, to me that means more than the attention that i can give him at the moment. I have 2 old fur babies and Tinks, and 3 kittens, and I work full time.

yes I know you took in the mum cat, didnt breed her etc, but its your duty to care for the babies now as you took on that job
you did a great job and its not over yet lol! dosent matter they still arent ready to go, dont really care what the vet says they know about illness, not about kittens who leave mum to early 9 1/2 weeks is nothing, 12weeks is the min, its up to you at the end of the day, but no its not a good compremise really, its just adding to the saying in my poster in my sig really, why? they arent ready yet, wouldnt let a pup go 3weeks to early..? just keep them the extra few weeks, you will even see a difference in them to. i the owners care they will understand that its not right for kittens to go that early from mum, they will miss out on curical lessons from 8-12weeks of age, durely you dont want them to miss out and want them to go as the bset pets ever?

I would really worry about letting a kitty go the day after his jabs - if that is what you intend - sorry if i have mnisunderstood. They need to wait at least 7 days not for red tape, but to genuinly ensure there is no adverse reaction to the jabs and allow the immune system to recover before taking a hit of possible new germs. Really bad things can happen to kittens who take too many hits on their immune system too close together.

I agree with TB they need to leave after 12 weeks, I can't agree with that statement and then feel it is OK for you to do it because you are a lovely kind person who did a good thing. If you have no other choice I would not vaccinate Jack and ask the other owners to when he has settled in. But, if they have other cats you have no choice but to keep him longer.

My kits were born a couple of days after yours I think? and they won't leave til after 3rd March. I may lose some lovely homes who won't wait, but it's better than risking getting bad news from the new owners about the baby's health, or them not coping with an unsocialised kitten and them ending up in rescue.

I'm glad you have lovely homes lined up, hopefully they will wait a little longer and leave the babes for you to enjoy for as long as possible, you will really miss each one when they are gone.
