Re: Arhhhhhhhh!!!! Crazy Kitties!!!!

Agree with TB really that you should hold onto them until 12 weeks if you can and definitely not let a kitten go the day after his first vaccination.

As regards the kit not using the litter tray - yes you can get Kitten Attract litter - well worth a try. She may prefere a softer litter than the one you are perhaps using now - or could be a different kind of tray (are you using an open tray - she may prefer a covered tray). Just working out what she wants to use!

Yes, some photos please

Ahh, the naughtiness of our deaf white girlies is indeed unbounded!
I am sure you now to clean the soiled areas with biological washing powder, I also use RX66 which is an enzymatic cleaner to get rid of any residue.

Re: Arhhhhhhhh!!!! Crazy Kitties!!!!

Do not use bleach, or anything with ammonia in it, to clean the areas where they widdle as they like the smell of this and will return to that area again. However, DO use this to clean the litter trays - for the same reason.

Also, by keeping Jack & Holly for the extra 3-4 weeks, as recommended by one of the most knowledgeable breeders on this forum, will give YOU extra time with them. I know you worry about giving them enough attention but they have each other to play with so that is not an issue for them.

You have done SUCH a fantastic job Pippa and so many of us applaud your dedication to Tinks and her babies.

Hugs from all at Moggy Towers. xxx

Re: Arhhhhhhhh!!!! Crazy Kitties!!!!

Taylorbaby I have read your post over and over again, i have to be honest it has made me no longer want to post on here, I feel you are a little too quick to force your opinion on others and have seen this before, one thing I am is honest and so go ahead again and give me a ticking off at 2am etc (your spelling was so bad I assumed you must have written it in quite a rush as I struggled to make sense of it the first time)!

Anyway, I appreciate everyones 12 weeks plus advice and despite that Jack will be going at 10 weeks now, Holly at twelve, so Jack will be leaving a little too early in your eyes, but not my vets, nor the feline welfare who gave me their personal opinion on rehoming kittens who say their foster mummys do re-home from 9 weeks.

Tinks kittens are not neglected and I am trying to do what is best for them, Jacks Mummy has a week off work and her daughter then has the following week off school, we all agreed this would be beneficial to Jack, as he would have constant attention and by me keeping him he would miss all that. Anyway, that is the end of my 'justification' and I am merely keeping Jack a few days longer to make sure he is settled after his jabs.

I do hope this thread can be closed now as I actually asked for advice on how best to make use of the time I have left and don't think anyone has given me that.

Thanks all x

you did a great job and its not over yet lol! dosent matter they still arent ready to go, dont really care what the vet says they know about illness, not about kittens who leave mum to early 9 1/2 weeks is nothing, 12weeks is the min, its up to you at the end of the day, but no its not a good compremise really, its just adding to the saying in my poster in my sig really, why? they arent ready yet, wouldnt let a pup go 3weeks to early..? just keep them the extra few weeks, you will even see a difference in them to. i the owners care they will understand that its not right for kittens to go that early from mum, they will miss out on curical lessons from 8-12weeks of age, durely you dont want them to miss out and want them to go as the bset pets ever?
