Re: Variants or crossbreds?

I find this all really interesting.
Anything more I can learn about cats generally is a good thing.

That's extremely gratifying. Those of us who engage in this sort of thing are somewhat passionate and can bore for Britain on the whole subject of improving gene pools. You can see why we get so worked up when non-breeders think we're evil, money grabbing kitten farmers.

I am not surprised. I have to say me and my family have always had rescue cats so for me now having a pedigree does feel strange and I do feel a slightly weird guilt feeling, but it is very reassuring to know his history both in his genetics, health and upbringing. Hardly money grabbing when you look how much is costs to properly raise a kitten to 13 weeks.

This is the kind of thread we need, where it teaches you something.

Re: Variants or crossbreds?

My first generation Cinnamon Tiffanie boy, a very important pussycat! His father is a Burmilla and his mother is a Somali. As always with outcrossing, the hybrid vigour shines through.

Re: Variants or crossbreds?

Yes isn't he! It's next down in the chocolate series - recessive to chocolate.
