Pregnant cat help?

My pregnant cat is 9 weeks pregnant on Tuesday but the last few days she has been meowing very loudly like she is in heat and is rolling about the floor and also keeping her bum in the air. There is a slight discharge which she licks away straight away. She also keeps licking her belly. Is she in labour? If so, how long can it last? And can she stop labour and delay it?

Re: Pregnant cat help?

Chances are she isn't actually in labour but preparing to be. You'll notice she'll start nesting and digging around on sofas and cupboards (if left unattended!). I'd keep a really close eye on her, sleeping with her on a night just to keep an eye on her. You most likely won't need to interfere but if for some reason she is having contractions for over an hour but no baby or any foul smelling or greenish discharge you need to be on hand to get her to the vets.

Good luck, my girl is 3 days overdue so we might have our litters at the same time!

What breed is she?
