2 of our kittens just gone to their new home

I knew that 2 of Porridge's kittens were going to their new home today, (their new home being my OH's ex for her and OH's kids, so I will be able to hear how they are doing) but thought I'd have an hour with them at home after work so I could play with them and give them cuddles for the last time. However, I got home and the new owner was picking them up, so I didn't get the time I wanted with them. And now they are gone and when everyone left, I cried! It's amazing how attached I got to them over the last 10 weeks. We're keeping the boy kitten, so that's happy, but I already miss the other two.

Does anyone else get upset when their kittens leave to go to their new home?

Re: 2 of our kittens just gone to their new home

My breeder had a very hard time saying goodbye to one of my kittens. He was born a bit deformed and he survived to be completely (... more like relatively ) normal despite the vets initial opinion. Her mum is actually running the place and was out when we picked Bloo up. She was devastated to come home and realise he had gone.

We do bring them back a few times a year for boarding and I suspect she waits until we are gone and then spoils him rotten - not that we mind They are lovely with Freckle too but often comment that if Bloo had been born normally he could have been with them as a stud. We just consider ourselves lucky to have such beautiful cats and appreciate the support from the breeder. They are glad that they still get to see the boys and we keep in contact (and spoil them).

That is very true and my little boy is just gorgeous! As is his Mum! And I'm happy that the 2 who have gone are together.
