What happen's next?

Just wondering for any breeders out there, wether pedigree or moggy..
If a sale falls through or you can't sell due to the age etc what usually happen's? Do you have to lower the cost and usually by how much? or do you tend to keep them? None of my cats are expecting since they are both done and my boy will be done at 6 months, just interested really.

Re: What happen's next?

Depends - generally you lower the cost, but if you were half minded to keep the kitten anyway then you generally keep it. I am about to have to dramatically reduce the price of ten kittens Previously I have sold pedigrees for £100 at 5 months and given them away at 12 months. Last year I gave away two 3/4 pedigrees at 7 months. At the end of the day, there is really no choice.

Re: What happen's next?

10 kitten's? wow! How much does each kitten usually cost as I know it tends to vary in each area, with regards to vet bills etc, do breeders pay one big bill or is it an account which is paid off as and when?

Re: What happen's next?

It's a low priced breed - mine go for £250 usually but even so it is going to be a big loss. The oldest unsold kitten I have here is now 6 months. It has not been a good summer!

Vets vary but most vets seem to let breeders have an account. Mine does, even though there are "you must pay now" notices all over the surgery.

I really like Tiffanies, they have such delicate faces, lovely eyes and a bit more on the fluffier side Admittedly having MC's I like my kitties fluffy
