Hello, just wondering if anybody knows of a directory or something of male cats for stud in north east England? I've had no luck so far, I have a pedigree siberian, I'm not looking to become a breeder or anything like that, but would like her to have one litter before she is spayed. Many thanks!.

Re: studs in north east england?
Just another thing to consider - is the costs. If you go back to the breeder to change her over to the Active - she may ask you for another £100-£200 (a lot of breeders charge more for breeding cats). Taking her to a reputable breeder with a health tested stud - you will then need to shell out for blood tests prior to taking her (around 340 - £50). You need extra good quality food whilst she is pregnant and nursing. If, God forbid, she needs a c-section to deliver the kittens - you may be in for a bill of £500 give or take. Not to mention the costs of kitten food, extra litter, toys, heating (kits need to be kept warm), vaccinations, worming and flea treatment. Prior to take your stud fee could be anywhere in the region of £200-£500 (not sure of the going rates for Siberians - these are a guide for stud fees for Ragdolls!).

Re: studs in north east england?
There is no stud register that I know of but the breed clubs usually have them. No registered stud will accept a girl on the non-active register (we get fined if we do) but assuming your girl is on the active register, the best place to start is to ask the girl's breeder for suggestions. You may well need to travel, siberians are still a small breed I think.
