Re: weaning and litter training advice please :)

i think sometime between 4-5 weeks for offering food... depends how advanced they are some babies are slower than others! I would imagine you should introduce the litter tray at the same time, as mum will probably be a bit reluctant to clean up once they start weaning! I would pop them in the tray after each meal fed etc I'm sure you will prob get some better advice soon as you are aware very novice myself!

Good advice there

Yeah, i would say around 5 weeks for solids. Try a wet soft food such as hi life or natures menu and put plenty down so mum is eating where they can see, they learn a lot from mum! Try every few days and they will start when they are ready.

Litter tray is placed at the same time as they start on solids. Pop them in after every meal, and any other time you like. I recommend a few shallow trays to give them the best chance of success.

Some don't eat properly till' they are around 7 weeks so don't worry if they don't seem interested right away.

Lovely litter!!

Re: weaning and litter training advice please :)

When my litters are 3-4 weeks I give them a bit bigger box. Water, food and toilet inside the box. When they are a bit older I use either new lager boxes or this one. The kitten is placed on the roof to be able to take pic. When they are about 6 weeks old they will not stay inside and I take it away and the kittens wil use the toilet without any problems.
