Fingers crossed

We took our girl to the stud a couple of weeks ago and she was there for a week as she went off call for a day or two when she got there but we had reports of them being all loved up and mating later in the week. She wasn't best pleased at having to come home leaving her beau behind but she's back with us and all settled back in now. How long would it normally be before we start to see some signs and is there anything we should be looking out for apart from the pinking up.

Cat Lover Chris will become famous soon enough
Re: Fingers crossed

Give her about 3 weeks and you should start to see the nipples pinking up. You will get similar comments from the regular breeders on the site.

You need to get yourself organised ready for the birth. There is plenty of excellent advice on the forum already.

Good luck

PS: what breed is she? Pictures?

yes around 3 weeks the nipples will start to turn very pink and enlarge You won't see any other outward signs till about 4-5 weeks she will start to expand. She may vomit aswell (some animals get morning sickness too)

Re: Fingers crossed

I'm waiting for my girl to pink up too

Apart from that, i find her behaviour changes a few days after returning home.

She's much friendlier when pregnant

She's a chinnie and this will be her first litter. Here is a photo of her taken last month she's such a playful girl and loves anything that rattles and rustles
