Siamese/Oriental Breeders

Just out of interest, how often do you breed from your siamese/oriental queens?

Re: Siamese/Oriental Breeders

I think it all depends on the cat, they are all different. Though I think most people aim for one litter a year, I don't think that is always possible.

You have a red tabby don't you? are you going to be breeding her?

I usually breed my queens once a year but it depends on the girl.

Re: Siamese/Oriental Breeders

I like my girls to only have one litter a year too. I am lucky though because none of my girls have ever got into mad calling patterns. I think if I did have one like that, I would spay her rather than constantly have litter after litter from her, as I don't think it is healthy for Mum or babies.
