prefix registered names question lol

can someone confirm the following (or correct me if im wrong)...

once you have a prefix you can register any name for kittens (within the rules), even if someone else has used the name.

you can only register each name once.

Re: prefix registered names question lol

They would automatically be different even if you choose the same name because of the prefix.

Eg cattery 1 is called Loveleerags & cattery 2 is called Sweetmaines but they both want to call a kitten Billy The Kid.

that would mean kitten 1 is called Loveleerags Billy The Kid & kitten 2 is Sweetmaines Billy The Kid. Two completely different names.
we love bsh's likes this.

Re: prefix registered names question lol

Yeah - what Messy said
If you use a GCCF generated prefix you have to give a choice of 'second' names in case the one you want is taken. You can't use the same 'second' name twice with the same prefix.

Re: prefix registered names question lol

I suppose it's in case there are a lot of kittens being registered I hope you get your first choice. If you've picked fairly unusual names you should be okay.
