Re: wormers

Just consulted the Vet Medic catalogue just says broad spectrum wormer that treats dogs and cats infected with roundworms and some tapeworm. Also used to treat giardia infections, can be used in pregnant bitches to reduce worm burden in newborn puppies,

Then on the 2.5% says same as 10% but for small breeds.

Dont know if thaats any help.

Re: wormers

1ml of the 2.5% solution contains 25mg of the active ingredient (fenbendazole)

1ml of the 10% solution contains 100mg of the active ingredient.

so the 10% is 'stronger', you get more of the active ingredient packed into a smaller amount.

The 10% makes it easier to give larger animals larger doses without giving them a load of liquid. The 2.5% makes it easier to give smaller animals a more accurate smaller dose.

Hope that makes sense....tired.....

Re: wormers

thanks yes i thought the same its 'stronger' so it doesnt actually make a difference, its just a little stronger?

they do make it hard dont though! i always get the 10% one anyway, so might aswell stick with it I guess? both say for kittens/cats.

thANKS!
