you don't have to and i guess most pet owners don't bother. i transfered my cats into my name so i could take them to shows.

Re: anyone registering kittens?

Thanks for your answers, I won't rush to send off 3 pinks slips I have no intention of breeding from any of my cats

When I bought my cats, the pink slip thing was explained by the breeder, that it was 'neither here nor there' if I changed the slip into my name or left it as it was, so I just left it. My cats were purchased as pets only, although I've been told two of the three are show quality, I don't show and would never, ever breed from them. Before joining this forum, I was so naive to think that everyone was as honest as me and would never breed a cat who was sold as a pet I live and learn

Re: anyone registering kittens?

It's £5 admin fee at the moment £8.00 for prefix and £15 for non-pre-fix.

So a litter of 6 with no pre-fix = £120 Vaccination £340.00

Yay the joys!

Unfortunately being a VAT paying company, we're affected by the VAT hike through their prices having to increase to cover it ....

Do you have to pay an admin fee per kitten for non prefix regs?

And blimey your vets expensive!!!!!!!!!

I reg'd a litter of 7 and vacc'ed them for 61 and 210 pounds last year .... Am dreading to think how much it will cost this year although I was at my vet at weekend and they seem to be trying to keep price rises minimal .... Another area we now have the VAT hike affected us .... Someone remind me why we do it!

I have found a new vet which brings me down to £48 per vacc but if I change Vet the expensive one will not early neuter as he wants me to use him for everything...... Its a pain in the bottom.

Admin fee applies to all registrations. I don't have my pre-fix with GCCF yet, I cannot afford it. lol

Re: anyone registering kittens?

Hiya

Yes I know the admin fee is for all regs but I work out a non prefix litter of 6 kittens at those prices to be £95 not £120? that's why I asked if non prefix regs had to pay £5 per kitten admin as you don't for prefix litters....

Bummer about the vets ... I'm going to get the breeder discount this year as well of 20% - I didn't last year as I wanted to see if I would keep going after my first litter!

Any way your vet will negotiate on those prices - they are awfully expensive!

Re: anyone registering kittens?

my vet said 'we know you come in alot but we wont neg any prices as they are good enough!' I actually asked 3 vets all said the same!

regging a litter without a prefix is £5 just to reg them then £18 squid each now, with a prefix its £5 for the litter than £9 each... I*think?*
