Urgent Help Please

My siamese is on day 58 today and not eaten since 10pm last night. She has been sick his morning, but appears fine in herself. I know kittens can be o if born from day 60, is it too early now?

Re: Urgent Help Please

Most litters are born from day 63 onwards, i believe kittens born before day 60 aren't ready and could have problems.

Keep an eye on her and look out for signs of labour beginning. She may be fine. If you're like me you will be getting paranoid at her every move!!

If she does go into labour i would be giving the vet a call.

Re: Urgent Help Please

It's very common for a girl to be off her food if delivery is imminent; it's not so common for them to be sick. Given that cats are experts at vomitting when there's absolutely nothing wrong with them... is she occasionally one of those who'll throw up for no apparent reason? If not, and if she vomits again over the next 48 hours I would err on the side of caution and take her to the vet; there's a slim possibility she has an infection.

To deliver at 58 days is a little too early (though not necessarily the end of the world) and the hope is that she isn't actually going into labour just yet.

Fingers crossed all is well - I'm sure it will be

Re: Urgent Help Please

Thank you - askinner123

She has only been sick te once at 8am today...and she has just now eaten a small handful of cooked chicken breast. I am keeping my fingers crossed she holds on for a few more days at least.

Thanks

Re: Urgent Help Please

Just wondering what evidence there is that the sperm takes 2 days to reach the egg?
