We have given baby blankets for the last 2 litters and to be honest most people usually bring their own and just put ours in their bag.

When we got our first 2 Siberians the breeder gave us hand knitted ones which we still use and were a nice touch Her mum knits them for her.

You may get nicer baby blankets than the pet ones.

I bought some on ebay. They are all over ebay if you search for 'pet blanket'. You can get blue and pink with black paws all over. They can be bought singly or in packs.

I'm not sure about the need for them, most people like to buy their own things for their new kittens.

I think if i received one i wouldn't use it.

well i was gonna buy some and put each kittens pedigree name in the corner of their own blanket and they can use it all through their life until the owner buys them - it'll settle them in having their own smell

I recently bought some cheap fleece blankets and got a friend with an embroidery machine to do a few with the cattery logo of my other friends cattery on it and the kitten's names and a little enbroidered kitten ... they were beautiful and my friend absolutely adored them .... so much so.... my breeder friend wants to send every new kitten off with their own blanket.

The only problem is... I am finding it really quite difficult to find fleece blankets in a small size .... well I can find the ones with paw prints, but I don't think they're very nice and the emboidery wouldn't show up very well on them, I much prefer the plain fleeces in neutral colours that you find in Matalan and Primark and the like. If you are handy with a sewing machine and a pair of scissors you could make 3 or 4 "kitten size" blankets from one normal size fleece plaid.
