bit worried

Hi,

Well all my kittens have gone to their new homes.I have just checked Mum cat over to see how she is and found a couple of lumps underneath by her teats, she does not seem to be unwell or hot or anything. Is this kind of thing normal? I am taking her to the vet to get it checked tomorrow, she seems very well in herself and if anything has put condition on during her time as a Mum and not lost it!

Any advice gratefully received.

Izzie

Re: bit worried

might be a blocked teat, my girls nips got a bit big when her kits left, although a couple were held back for holidays, so 15weeks old, her nips still had milk in them and felt quite big, my new stud boy tried to feed from her!! he was only 4months at the time, yuk!

soon settled down once the kits left, the vet wasnt worried when we took her in they had settled by then

Re: bit worried

Yes this is normal and they will go down soon. Some cats just seem to keep producing milk for ever and ever.

Re: bit worried

Thanks all, much appreciated. I am going to keep checking this week and if I don't think its improving will take her along to the vet. Apart from that she seems in better condition than I have ever seen her.

Hi,

I am sure she is fine, but want her settled soon as possible really, she seems to be coping better today.

I can't beleive how quickly the time went,I really enjoyed it and cannot wait to do it all again next year
