Soon?
My cat is having her first litter and she has been acting strange
she has been miaowing a lot and has stopped eating her food (she has been eating loads lately) but she has been playing about with her food and ends up with most of it on the floor! she has been looking around as if looking for a nesting area and shes been going places in my house shes never went before like the bathtub which is somewhere she usually is terrified of! do you think she is nearing her litter? i worked out that she should be due between 29th of september and 7th of december.

You really need to know the date of mating to work out her due date.
Why do you say between the 29th sept to the 7th dec? Was she with the stud for a long period? If so you can't really predict a date.

yes she was with the stud for two weeks but the owner told me that they didnt actually start beginning to actually like each other for a few days so i've took the possible dates and worked out between the 29th of sep and 7th of dec

That doesn't make sense, if she was with the stud for 2 weeks, minus a few days then the due dates wouldn't be so widespread.
A litter born on the 7th December would have been conceived around the 3rd october. A litter born on the 29th September would have been conceived around the 26th July.

That would mean your girl was mated between the 25th sept to the 3rd nov?
Does that sound right? it's difficult if they were with the stud for that long because it's hard to predict the due dates. They dont really gain much weight so thats pretty pointless. I would watch and feel for the kits moving, when you feel the 1st 'flutters' she will be approx 7 weeks.

the date she mated, give yourself 2days for sperm to get to egg and take 9weeks from that date.
My guess is the 3rd december  by your 3week date.itll be around there! look out for digging signs, wants to be close, stopping eating, panting, in the loo more, alot of first timers give brith in the loo as they think they need a giant poop   not until it coems out that they realise its not a poop!
