Gestation query?
Hi folks,
Just a quick question about the gestation period. I've heard it can be 60 days onwards is this correct? My stud owner gave me a sheet which says that my queen will be due on the 26th Nov, making her 66 days pregnant, is this correct? People who have had litters recently, or can remember, how many days was your queen when she went into labour? Thanks...

Re: Gestation query?
I always add on a day for settling & 2 days for sperm to meet the egg, so thats 3 days in total I count from, my british was due on the thurs and had them on the wed, but she was also only at the stud for 3days and no matings witnessed or heard!
Ragdolls girl had been 7days overdue twice & due on the spot once, bengal was overdue. I wouldnt worry to much it can be 60-70, if she is overdue I wouldnt rush to the vet unless the kits arent moving, I called when my girl was 7 days overdue they said bring her in in 2days if no sign at all, kits were moving she was fine so i wasnt (too!) worried, she had them the next day! must have heard me on the phone lol!
