Yes i had the same trouble with Missy
She wasnt used to being in a house so didnt know how to react. She did a lot of weeing every where and climbing curtains
I think that at 13 weeks its hard for them to adjust?
Meg was older wasnt she when you got her?
I would never again get a kitten that was brought up outside!!
I always tell people that contact me to make sure when they go to see a kitten that is has been brought up in the home not in a pen.
Yes i love the Torties

Re: does anyone elses breeding queen do this??

Yeah meh & her sister were both kept back to see which was best for showing but they said that meg was to shy so she was being sold, she was 5 months old so not That old. Spent 14days behind the sofa and 3 days without eating/drinking/pooing/weeing

I spent all those days crying and calling the breeder asking if there was something wrong with her but they just said shes used to having visits or something, thats when I found out she was born/raised outside, guess I was naive not to ask in the first place really.

i started to whistle when I entered the room and after the 14days she would 'meow' back and gingerly come out to view me, she liked my neuter boy though and would come out to visit him if he left she would go behind the sofa. Brought my litter of kittens down to help her play as she didnt know what do to. also brushed her alot instead of stroking and she Loved that so that bonded us to.

After another 2 weeks if I left the room she would still hide, then I think after 8 weeks I went upstairs and would call her up but she was to scared to leave the lounge but one day she came up stairs meowing at me was a real breakthrough and she got bolder after that, decided not to show her as didnt want to put her through it, discussed it with breeders who said that if we bred her she would become more confident, if not we would spay and have her as a pet, but it really helped all of a sudden she was mouthing off like a teenager and playing running chasing!!

After her 2nd litter that was it, she is head of the house now!! Real queen bee, a confident happy baby.

wouldnt be without her shell always be here Ill prob neuter her after her next litter or 2 as ive kept back 1 girl and will keep back another from her, she can be granny of the house then! and great granny lol!

Hows your girl now?
