It's not my breed but the regpol is the regpol. It's simple enough to get the DNA test done through UCDavies.

Well that's not a problem, you can register them as active, they just have to go on the genetic register as well. All that means is that there are some restrictions on where their offspring can be registered.

As far as I understand it, it just means that the cat's details are kept and any offspring registered from that cat must themsevles either be on the non-active or genetic register until such time as enough generations have passed or the cat is proven not to carry whatever gene it is. How you get onto the genetic register I have no idea, but I imagine if you register the kittens as active in the normal way, some communication would be forthcoming from the GCCF saying that they would also have to go on the genetic register. It's a fairly new thing.
