Urgent Advice Needed!

It looks as though Anara's remaining baby is slipping away, she's just laying there and is very cold. We've tried to get her to suckle but she won't so we've forced some formula down her but she just doesn't seem to have the will. It's such a shame because foster mum Keira already loves her and puts her back in with the others when you take her out but the little one is just fading away.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what else we can try?

Fiona

Hi Fiona

just keep trying with the formula, little & often, she's probably too weak to feed. Keep her warm, warmth is vital.
If you have nutri drops give her some it may give her the boost that she needs.
If you are feeding, don't forget to encourage her to wee & poo. (wet cotton wool - gently rub her bottom) Weeing will be a good sign that you are getting some milk into her.

Unfortunately I recently lost a litter in this way, it's so frustrating.
You must prepare yourself for the worst but I'm sending you best wishes that she pulls through.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Unfortunately she passed away at around 9:30. I guess it just wasn't meant to be

Oh I'm so sorry to hear this sad news.

I'm sure you did your best for her - you're right sometimes it's just not meant to be, doesn't make it any easier though.

Thinking of you.

Really sorry to hear about your loss sounds like you tried so hard to help her. At least she was in a nice, caring home for the time she was around.
