Talking My mad Budgie.

Took a few photos today of my male, Harley. (actually could be female... no one knows yet, his cere isn't changing lol) he's over 1 years old now.

Sorry some of them are abit blurry, he's on the move all the time!

He discovered the string from my camera was a great new toy...

Then he decided he'd throw all his grit out of the bowl...

And after all that hard work... he stretched and slept!

Re: My mad Budgie.

What a lovely little budgie! If he/she is over a year in age and the cere is white with a purply/blue tinge then I believe he/she may be a hen.

Thanks! Yeah it has changed slightly, it keeps going a bluey colour, but it's mainly white.
Weird to think of "him" as a girl lol

Yeah he's a bundle of fun that one

It's a towel, the only reason it's there as next to the cage is my other Budgie who broke her leg, she's always trying to climb the bars to him (which doesn't help her leg... as she can't grip, bless her) so I put that there as if she can't see him, she doesn't bother. He's pretty good though, never seen him nibbling it once, too interested in his toys.
Thanks

Aww! Hehe I never thought of that... may try the pillow case instead

Not sure how she managed it, came downstairs one morning to find her not putting any weight on it I took her to the vets and he said she might have got it stuck and broke it trying to pull free OR Harley being a little bully might have done something, lol.

But as she's 12 years old there wasn't much they could do for her. So I seperated them both, put her into a cage with low perches etc (she kept falling off them to start with) it was touch and go... but she's fine now! it has healed straight though, so she's abit wobbley, but she manages fine she takes baths, still 'head bops' and sings like mad, apart from the wobble and the fact she can't climb the bars now, it's not really affected her!

Here she is...

You can see her foot sticking out. Bless her.

She'll be 13 this year!
