same here I started at 10 when My dad built me a small avery coz I kept asking to put some lovebirds in his (cockatiels and finches) so got my 1st at 10 and still going 15 years later. I did have a 5 year gap when i was19 moving from house to house

my Da brought me to a friends house to buy a budgie and he had a small aviary, i thought it was amazing and I said............I WANT I WANT I WANT I WANT and the rest is history LOL i have never been without them since

it was just the budgies for a number of years but i keep a bit of a mixed collection now with zebra, bengalese and hecks grassfinches, diamond doves and chinese painted quail as well as the budgies i have had european siskins (captive bred of course), a strawberry finch and a cockatiel over the years too how about yourself
