I put my baby male budgie (Harley) in with my older female (Jerry) today!

I opened the door, and placed the cages next to one another, so that Harley could just go into her cage in his own time... I knew Jerry wouldn't go anywhere near his, so t'was all fine.

He pretty much went in within 5 minutes - he's so nosey! And they love each other!!

They started grooming each other... and they keep *kissing* - with tongues, hmmmm lol they have had the odd spat - especially since Harley wants what ever Jerry he has, he's like a little kid!

They have 2 food bowls, 2 food dishes, plenty of toys and perches. Also made sure that when I put the millet in, there's 2 at either side of the cage, as Harley keeps wanting hers, but then realises he has one to himself - and their both quite happy!

Harley keeps chirping away and 'head bopping' and I've even seen Jerry do it too!

I think they're gunna be fine

Just to update...

they've been together all day now, and they've been absolutely fine Jerry keeps going to him and they keep kissing etc.

so pleased they get on!
