Harley is now eating seed off my hand! he wont come onto my hand yet, but I think it's a good start?

Once he'd eaten all the seed though, he wasn't impressed and bit me... hard! Little sod. lol

He is beautiful, have you tried just stroking him with 1 finger while hes in his cage? maybe when its getting dark so hes not as active and ready to chill.

This is great news, you know how I love my budgies they are such beautiful birds and unfortunately under rated for their abilities ! Just make sure that you do not place him with the other budgie or he well go wild. Great to see you enjoying him. Remember to teach him how to speak, just say his name over and over each day for at least 20 mins, and then after you have heard him saying it, then another simple word, but wait until he can say it You might want to try leaving a radio on near him on low, so that he can learn some words there to, hugs! love him to much just my kind of baby!

Thats a brilliant start small steps get you there in the end. Budgies are very good if you go slowly and let them get comfortable with you.

I do try and stroke him whilst he's eating the seed out my hand, as then he's distracted and less likely to bite me! lol and the radio is left on for him he likes Girls Aloud but nay worries, I'll get him into decent music

hi our's is a real sucker for millet. i cut about 2inches of millet and started feeding him in the cage. now we've progressed to him jumping straight away on my hand as soon as i open the cage! they soon get to know!!!!
