Question Budgie feeling fruity... methinks.

(Sorry i didn't know what to put for the title!)
Hi.
Our female budgie , who is nearly 1 year old, keeps 'rubbing' herself against one of her toys.
I am very afraid that at some point she will lay an egg (unfertilized) or get egg binding.
I can't get her a partner because the cage isn't big enough and we don't have room for breeding.
Does anyone know how long a budgie 'carries' an egg for if it is unfertilized.

If there is any advice anyone can give me, it would be appreciated because i haven't had a female budgie before.

Thanks

Hi, do you have a mirror in lil ones cage?
My dad used to breed them & they used to get frisky cos they thought there was another in the cage.
So he stopped putting mirrors in.
Hope things turn out for you, also we used to have the most filthy mouthed lil feather bundle in the universe (thanx to a drunken bro that came home & only had my bobby bird for company, sad lad). we even had to cover him when the vicar came to talk about my wedding, uncovered him when he left not expecting him to return..... hello my name is Bobby I'm a bad b****r giz a kiss............. vicar in stitches stayed for the full half hour of filthy repotua(spelling)

Yep she is definitely female as she has a brown cere.

Baloo J. We had a budgie a few years ago that could plainly chirp the words f-off
(the whole f word, i haven't tyoed it because it's not nice) and he would also chip
'Merry Christmas b*tch'
Also she does have mirrors in her cage. She likes to feed the budgie in the mirror apple.

Re: Budgie feeling fruity... methinks.

Mine would have naughty moments, with mr rocky, ( a toy with wheels at each side that rocked back & forth), he would mount it & make funny chuntering noises. Very embarrassing
Yep had the F*** word in there too.
We used to joke on that my mum was the witch, so as soon as her bus was due my dad would say "where's the witch", the budgie would keep repeating it, & the dog would go beserk, until we let him out to bound up the street to her(wreck her stockings).
When my dad ate his lunch Bobby would sit on his nose, & slide down onto his knife/spoon. and just sit while he ate. Not very hygenic I know.
The funniest was when he slipped into his tomatoe soup, we had a red budgie, lucky he liked to bathe.

Re: Budgie feeling fruity... methinks.

Aww...lol.
I don't know if you know those medicine spoons. They are double ended (one end is smaller than the other.) Well this budgie we had liked to have a drink out of the big end of the spoon and then he would sit himself in it and have a little bath. (little being the word.)
We had a police man come into the house. And our budgie was there chirping away. The policeman spoke to the budgie. The bird chirped back. My mum and i were very bad this bird was gonna tell the policeman to F-OFF.
We've never had a such a mad or verbally abusive budgie since.
