Well you seem to have quite a mix? I'm amazed they guy selling the bird to you couldn't tell you what it was??

Kakariki's are one of my favourite birds, they are extremely acrobatic and really best suited to an aviary. They can make good pets but need to be out of their cage for most of the day unless it's huge. They need plenty of toys are are very social with their own kind.

Seed is a tiny part of their diet, they need a plenty of fruit and veg every day, all chopped up. Favourites are chillies, tomatoe's, anything that has seeds they adore. Mine get spinach, brocholie, carrot, cooked peas/corn/ fresh cocount, apple, sprouted mix etc every single day. You will find they like to throw it all on the floor before they eat it too, they love making a mess lol.

You must give them access to a bird bath at all times if possible too, they love bathing and getting totally soaked .

You certainly won't have a dull moment, they can fly so fast that you can blink and miss them too!
