How much are you meant to feed Cockatiels?

Hi,

I normally just fill my tiels food bowl right up and top it up/change it as and when its needed. However I read somewhere that overfeeding can contribute towards a hen laying. As the bird will think it has plenty of food to feed a clutch of chicks. As my hen keeps laying and im concerned for her health I want to start feeding her the right amount to see if this makes any difference to her laying habits.

How much are you actually meant to give them. Im just talking about normal seed here. Not including fruit and veg.

I feed my cockatiels 1.5 tablespoons of seed (per adult) per day
