How can I encourage my Canary to bathe?

My Canary is around 6 years old. When we first got him, we bathed him regularly and he loved it. All of a sudden, after about a year, he stopped getting in his bath and now uses his drinking water to bathe in. I have offered him a bath many, many times since but he never goes near it. Are there any tips that may encourage him to get in his bath? Or should I get used to the fact that he is just a mucky sod?

hi, you could try spraying him. You can get feather plumage (think its called that) from pet shops. You mix it with water, then spray them.

My 9 month old grey hates bathes, but he has no choice with the sprayer lol. Do it every other day, its really good for their feathers and smells fab too!

I agree try him with a apray bottle.Any normal spray bottle from a garden centre will do and normal water.
It may make him realise that bathing is fun
