If you want to quit smoking have you looked at e. cigs? I tied patches, gum, hypnosis and accupunture and failed. Went onto e. cigs in January and have only wanted a real cig once since.

bird respiratory systems are very different to ours, they absorb more oxygen from the air than we do as they have air sacks as well as lungs so inhaling smoke and chemicals is horrendous for them
fair lay to you for trying to quite smoking and well done thinking of your future birdies health first
