Confused about budgies behaviour

Hi, i have a pet budgie and shes about 6 or 7 years old. Lately shes been sitting at the bottom of her cage and only comes up to eat or occasionally play with her toys. Her feathers look very dirty and messy and she also seems in pain when she goe toilet. Is there something wrong with my bird?

Re: Confused about budgies behaviour

Hi, I'm not sure I can be of much help sorry, I have a Budgie but she never goes on the floor. I'd take yours to the vets just to be on the safe side, especially if she looks to be in pain... best to be on the safe side eh

Oh only just seen this, how is your budgie now?

Sounds like she may have been egg bound
