What's wrong with my canary?

Hello, i have a canary, he's around 3 years old now. Lately i notice him getting all puffy and sitting down during the day and closing his eyes. Also it seems like he's kind of trembling little bit, like he's slightly moving up n down while staying still. He's eating normaly though and he's singing. This is a picture i took of him while he's sitting down. Is that normal? Should i do something? Thanks alot in advance

Re: What's wrong with my canary?

Not good...if you're not going to a vet I recommend heat...birds can catch a thousand different infections.Placing them in a covered area where they can be kept warm...80/90f with a heat lamp or similar often works wonders...but make sure the bird has room to move away from the heat source if it gets too warm...some powdered glucose from your chemist in the drinking water can help energy levels.

If it's a hen it could be egg bound...heat is the best answer to this too, plus plenty of grated cuttlefish bone.
