hi, one of my female canaries has what seem like a lot of blood feathers on both sides of her wings - she also has a bald patch on her head, and only one long tail feather left - altogether she looks very ragged. She's been looking a bit ragged for a bit, but all of a sudden it just seemed to get worse. she seems fine in her self - bright eyes, active and eating well - and the rest of her feathers seem fine.

I have brought her in from the aviary with her companion (i know that they normally like to be alone, but they are always together since i got them, and we are almost sure her friend is also a girl as she doesn't sing). This year she has laid at least two clutches (which i replaced with false eggs), and spent alot of time on the nest.

I have just bought some conditioning seed, and she always has lots of water and veg (not keen on fruit), and she has recently completed a course of antibiotics as i had three unexplained deaths. Is there any thing else i should do for her, and should i try and get her to the vet (i'd like to avoid this if possible as i am worried it would be a bit stressful for her)

That sounds to me like a vet visit...try and find a decent avian vet...google it.
