chicken food - Layers mash

Hi, we have just accidently bought some layer mash instead of layers pellets (dad picked up wrong sack) Do you feed it straight from the sack or does it need soaking or anything like that? Just that it is so dry, we have just fed them some dry and they seems to love it, have googled it but seems like it's fed dry.

Many Thanks

You feed it to them in a trough dry, and make sure they have a plentiful supply of water. If you add water to it, it tends to go off and mould can form pretty quickly.

Hi. When I kept Fowl years ago, Mash was fed dry, as when its damp or wet, mould grew rapidly. just ensure the water is topped up regularly.
