Nutritional substitute for Martins

Has anyone got experience of using a nutritional substitute for House Martins?

Currently have a youngster who we found flat on it's back a few days ago in the pouring rain. Managed to get it in and dry. Survived the nights and is looking quite perky.
Would turf him outside but he's quite thin and weak still. So far has been having crushed up house flies [arggghhhh] and vitamin drops. Probably have to keep on with this till he's ready to go back out, but any idea's welcome!

Mashed hard boiled egg...Softbill food for Mynahs,Thrushes and the like from a decent pet shop.Don't forget they need moist food or extra water too.

Good luck...not an easy task with one of those.

High moisture foods is very important in the diet of a dog. They should never be on a dry diet. It is not natural and will allow many diseases due to lack of proper nutrients.

This is a bird
Mealworms have a hard chitenous shell that is hard for a young bird to digest
