i need a blue and gold macaw for my dad asap, i can only pay £400 but can promise a very loving and caring home

Why do you NEED a B+G.? With only £400 you are going to struggle

well my dad has always wanted one however we have only ever had african greys and amazons and hahns macaws, i wanted to get one in time for his birthday as they really are his favorite.

Apart from the scarlet, b+g are one of the worst macaws as pets. Of all the birds I have bred and sold they are the ones I get most phone calls about when owners run into problems, usually at around 4 yrs old. If you have to have a large macaw you would be much better of with a greenwing.

i dont think you will get a greenwing or a blue & gold for that sort of money, greenwings are more exspensive than blue & golds. Also you will need a very last cage that will probably cost you £250 to £300.
The only time you might get one for that money is if it is a bad plucker or problem bird, i would save your money and perhaps wait a bit longer and get a cuddly tame baby, parent reared macaws if young enough will tame down very easy and be a bit cheaper.

Did'nt you say 400 and a hahns macaw??? Or was that a different person
