Is there anyone out there in or around the Basildon area who would consider giving a home to our female tiel should our only option be to rehome her.

Basically she is a sufferer of chronic egg laying and we feel she might be better suited to a breeding home with somebody more experienced as we have tried everything to stop her laying and nothing is working.

We have tried to rehome her before but had to back out as it was too hard for us. Now the situation is a bit different as we almost lost her on Friday due to egg binding. This has made us realise how serious the situation is and that we either need to put an immediate stop to her egg laying or allow her to breed.

I am going to chat with the vet on Monday to see what she thinks... if she thinks rehoming is the best option then we will have no choice but to go with that.

I just wanted to generate some interest before i speak to the vet as if we do have to rehome I would rather it be sooner then later as the longer we keep her with us the harder it is.. (im still going to be VERY fussy about where she goes though).
