Hiya,
Basicly I'm looking for a breeder of conures or quaker parrots. Does anyone happen to know anyone that breeds quaker parrots or conures in the midlands/derbyshire/yorkshire areas? The nearer to Chesterfield the better as traveling is difficult. Not going to specify the type of conure I'm interested in cuz it would take all day to list them lol. I've spent hours on google and following links over the past few weeks and can't find any private breeders only pet shops and would prefer to know the birds history so thats why I don't want to buy from a petshop. I did have a conure from a petshop before who didn't have any psycological problems so would possibly consider it if anyone knows of a reputable one, pref one that breeds the birds themselves. Thanks. |

![]() Would you be able to private message me if you get any available? I am looking for one asap as my current bird could do with some company really but obviously I am prepared to wait for the right bird as he gets plenty of attention otherwise. Thank you for the reply. |

Re: Looking for a breeder
Carl at Denton Parrots or Denton Aquatics in Carlisle. He's on the web, does quakers and most other parrot species.
I'd highly recommend him, will supply you with a good quality carry box, should you use the train/car or he will courier the bird to you for £50. They are silly tame and you can pay by installments as long as you pay in full before collection. He will let you know what he's got and you basically put a deposit down on an egg, so the first one that hatches is yours. He'll send you regular updates and progress reports via email and let you know a rough collection period. He won't let them go until they are full ready to go to there new homes. Give him a call on 01228 526651 (number from business directory) and see what he's got. Good luck |
